Creating a Viewer Avatar
First things first, who were Ishan's viewers?
To generate captivating video ideas, creating a viewer avatar was crucial.
I found that most of Ishan's viewers were students, many preparing for the intense IIT JEE exam.
I researched their lives, goals, challenges and desires.
This led me to focus on video ideas related to IIT JEE.
Packaging the Video Idea
While the theme was IIT JEE, I aimed to present it in a way that captivated viewers from start to finish.
After exploring various angles, I proposed the idea of a video titled "The Dark Reality of KOTA”.
The goal was to reveal the truth behind the media’s rosy portrayal of KOTA.
Despite the compelling video idea, many channels had already covered this topic.
To stand out, I needed to go beyond the top 10 Google articles.
To bring a unique perspective, I read stories of KOTA students on Quora and watched their interviews online.
I read articles from reputable news sites to make the script accurate.
After reviewing numerous news articles and videos, I crafted the script and shared it with Ishan.
My script wasn't just words!
It was a roadmap for the editor, with precise timestamps for video segments and links to highlighted text, making their job a cakewalk.
Ishan himself appreciated the attention to detail.
The comments section overflowed with praise for the video's quality, with viewers calling it "unexpectedly good" and even "the best video on Ishan's channel".
The video's accuracy struck a chord with people who studied in KOTA, as they confirmed facing similar incidents.
